My name is Ruth Michelle Tanguep Youmbi, I am the owner and founder of Youmbi Cosmetics. I am currently a Health science student and I have always been passionate about chemistry. because of the pandemic, many small producers are not able to sell their products. Youmbi Cosmetics is an organic and inclusive brand that buys its butters form small African producers. I decided to create Youmbi Cosmetics so that I could support small producers and give black women affordable organic makeup. Youmbi Cosmetics is a totally inclusive brand and we welcome all our kings and queens!

 

I started working on Youmbi Cosmetics 3 years ago. i started by designing my logo and then choosing what would be my first product. I then took cosmetic chemistry classes in order to be able to create my formulas. This has been such an incredible journey filled with tears and happiness. This picture represents the evolution of my formulas from using jojoba gel to switching to Shea butter and finally making my first successful gloss the orange one.
